Technology & Devices

Catholic Central faculty and staff work hard to make sure that technology is at the forefront of our curriculum. Our students use laptops in the classroom to access the G Suite for Education as well as many of their books, homework, and other classwork. Our school offers Wi-Fi in all classrooms to ensure that our students and teachers have access to the latest educational resources available. Student access to the Wi-Fi is monitored by the Tech Team at CC to ensure that all of our students are using the internet safely and responsibly.

Recommended Devices for Students

PLEASE NOTE: Google Chromebooks and Apple iPads are not a suitable device for learning at Catholic Central. Please find below some of our recommendations and options for devices.
This is our recommendation, for student devices, going forward:

Any full featured Windows laptop (Windows 10 or 11), MacBook Air or Pro, or Microsoft Surface or Pro
For students intending on taking Engineering, Robotics, or Technology classes, minimum recommendation:
- 16GB RAM + 500GB Solid State Drive with a NVIDIA or AMD discrete/separate graphics processor.

Signing In to Your Google Account

MyCC

Catholic Central uses a web portal called "MyCC" for its students, parents, faculty, and alumni to access information tailor-made for each person. For parents used to Google Classroom you will recognize many of the features that MyCC has to offer.

For a student, they will use MyCC to access their schedule, teacher pages, homework assignments, grades, and extracurricular group information.
For parents, they can log into MyCC to access their sons schedule, grades, conduct, and report any absences. They can also view the school calendar more in-depth.
For alumni, they can log into MyCC to see future alumni reunions and events coming up and register for them. They can also update their personal profile and view the alumni directory to network with classmates or alumni in a similar business field.

Everyone in MyCC can tailor their experience to their preferences. Everyone can subscribe to news alerts via email or text message for any specific program at the school (i.e. football or robotics) or subscribe to be alerted to all news updates from the school. They can opt-in or out from communications, and set their own personal privacy settings to determine how other users can interact with them. We take privacy very seriously at CC and have set in place safeguards to ensure the integrity of our students/family information. By default all of this information is kept separated from alumni information.

MyCC Frequently Asked Questions

For Students

For all student accounts, your Blackbaud ID username is your full Catholic Central email address.

Before logging in, please verify first that you are LOGGED OUT of all personal Gmail accounts and only logged into your Catholic Central Gmail account. The login process validates through Google and if your web browser tries to authenticate with your personal account, you will not be allowed access to MyCC. If you are logging in via smartphone, log out of all personal accounts, login to your CC Gmail account, force close the web browser app you are using, and reopen it before logging in.

For Parents

Parents will all receive an invitation to create their Blackbaud ID account once their son is successfully registered at Catholic Central. This invitation is sent to the email address provided during the application process, please check your spam folder if you did not receive it.

After clicking 'Accept' in that email you will be brought to a new page to create your Blackbaud ID account. Once created, you will use the email associated with the Blackbaud ID account as your username when logging into MyCC.

All parents have their own MyCC/Blackbaud ID account and should not share accounts. This can cause issues when it comes to signing contracts or permission forms.

Parents should NOT share their login credentials with their son(s).

What is Blackbaud ID?

The MyCC platform is provided by Blackbaud, Inc. and your login is powered by their Blackbaud ID accounts.

When you are added to our system as a user, you will receive an invitation to your email from Blackbaud to create your Blackbaud ID login. The invitation is sent to your email address. If you do not see the invitation, please check your spam folder.

Click 'Accept' in the email invitation to create your Blackbaud ID login, this is what you will use to login to MyCC. If you use a Google Gmail account, we recommend that you select 'Sign in with Google' when registering for a Blackbaud ID.

Once complete, your username is your full email address when logging into MyCC.
