What Does the School Nurse Do?
Our school nurse plays a vital role in maintaining the health and safety of our school community. Services include:

Safe Medication Administration

Management of Chronic Health Conditions: Asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, severe allergies, and more

Emergency Care: Immediate response to medical emergencies or injuries

Monitoring Illnesses: Tracking and responding to outbreaks in collaboration with the local health department

Health Form Reviews: Including immunization records, emergency action plans, and physicals

Direct Care: Evaluation and care for sick students and staff

CPR Training: Offered through the American Heart Association

Individual Health Plans (IHPs): Coordinated plans for students with medical needs, including academic accommodations
