DRIVE Development Days

The Catholic Central DRIVE Development Day series brings professional learning opportunities to students across grade levels to hone their leadership skills and gain real-world experience. Students are encouraged to utilize Friday DRIVE Holidays to invest in their futures by participating in DRIVE Development Days. Opportunities vary each year, ranging from college visits to wealth management skills.

Location: 7915 Lochlin Dr, Brighton, MI 48116

Students will be broken up into four groups, rotating through these areas: working on wiring a board, touring the warehouse, and visiting the technology trailer for hands-on learning. They will end with a pizza lunch.

The bus will leave Catholic Central at 8:15 a.m. and return at noon. They will have lunch at HH Barnum before they leave.

If students plan to meet us there, they MUST let us know that they will not be on bus and they should get to HH Barnum by 8:45 and be picked up at HH Barnum at 11:30 a.m.

Please contact ahill@catholiccentral.net if your son plans to meet us at HH Barnum and will not be taking the bus.

Mr. Russ Facione will be hosting a Getting To Know Yourself DRIVE Development Day held at Catholic Central High School.

The workshop will either be held in classroom 101 or the Learning Commons if the class gets too big for the classroom.

Each student will be completing a True Colors Personality Profile, learning about their tendencies and the tendencies of others, particularly colors that may clash. The purpose is for them to learn about themselves how to better tolerate differences and better understand how others may see them.

He will walk students through a True Colors personality profile and share with them life lessons as to how they can best work with, tolerate, accept other person's profiles who may be different than theirs. He will also show them how to work with others and how others view them.

We will explore the field of Data Science in sports at Comerica Park, followed by a facilities tour, and an evening at the ballpark for a game against the Texas Rangers! Executive Panel Session:

Members of our BAT (Business Analytics Team), CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Team, and Baseball Operations will discuss their career background, internships, and volunteer experience to provide a clear picture to CC students on how they got to this point in their careers.
CC students will be able to ask questions directly to these industry professionals about their career experience, what their day-to-day looks like, and other items.

Emergency Room Ultrasound DRIVE Development Day Provides Hands-On Learning Opportunity

Dr. Nicholas Dyc, Medical Director of IEP Urgent Care, visited campus to lead a session on bedside ultrasonography as part of the school's DRIVE Development Day series. He brought an ultrasound machine and performed live demonstrations on students.

Catholic Central Students Prepare And Donate 8 Trays of Lasagna To Local Families In Need

As part of the DRIVE Development Days series on Friday, May 2, 2025, Catholic Central students teamed up with the Lasagna Love charity to prepare eight trays of homemade lasagna, which will be donated to local families in need.
