National Honor Society

Detroit Catholic Central High School Chapter

  • The purpose of this organization is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character within our chapter students.
  • Membership is an honor bestowed upon a student, and thus a privilege, not a “right” of any individual.
  • Members are “selected” through decisions of the Faculty Selection Committee to be part of the chapter via information submitted by the candidate.
  • Once selected, members have the responsibility to continue to demonstrate these qualities.
“Teach Me Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge” is the motto of the Basilian Fathers and the sacred mission of Catholic Central High School. For ninety years, the graduates of Catholic Central have made a positive impact locally, nationally, and around the world.
