Pope Leo XIV Blesses Theology Teacher

Catholic Central Theology Teacher Alana Bahoura, now Mrs. Kanouna, began her summer with a special moment tied closely to her faith and teaching. After getting married on May 31, she and her husband traveled to Rome for their honeymoon, where they received a newlywed blessing from Pope Leo XIV.

“As a Theology teacher, it was a meaningful experience to witness the Church’s traditions in such a personal way,” Alana said. “We cover the Magisterium in class, and this was an opportunity to see that aspect of our faith come to life.”

Alana plans to share the experience with her students in the fall, adding a unique perspective to her lessons. “When we talk about the Pope and the structure of the Church, it will be helpful to share something I’ve seen firsthand. I think it helps students connect more deeply when they can see how the faith is lived out in real ways.”

Catholic Central congratulates Mrs. Kanouna and her husband on their marriage and wishes them all the best as they begin this new chapter!
