Theology Students Attend Eucharistic Adoration in the Chapel

On Monday, November 18, 2024, students in Alana Bahoura’s class visited the Chapel for Adoration after completing their unit on the Eucharist in the Sacraments course.

“We have just completed a unit on the Eucharist in the Sacramental Theology course for the junior class and so I wanted to take my students to the CC Chapel for Eucharistic Adoration. My goal is not only to teach my students about Jesus in the Eucharist but also to lead them to encounter Him there. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) states, the Eucharist is ‘The source and summit of the Christian life’ (1324). This profound truth calls us to deepen our faith and devotion, helping students recognize the Eucharist as the heart of their spiritual lives,” stated Alana.

The Theology Department offers Eucharistic Adoration in the Chapel during classes throughout the semester.

About Campus Ministry at Catholic Central

As it says over our archway when you enter the main entrance to our school, "Jesus Christ is the reason for Catholic Central."

The Basilian Fathers founded this school nearly 100 years ago to help further the faith formation of the young men entrusted to our care.

We work diligently to provide a world-class education. Our coaches and athletic staff work tirelessly to provide our student-athletes with an incredible experience on the field of play.

However, the overarching mission of everything we do is to help our young men have a powerful encounter with Jesus Christ - an encounter that we trust will leave them hungry to know more about Him.

“Jesus, Himself, took people where they were at in life and their encounter with Him was transformative. We hope to do the same. To help our young men to see Him anew. To read His Word with fresh eyes. To encounter His mercy with a renewed sense of love, grace, and forgiveness,” stated Campus Minister, Kevin Walters.

Whether it is in the classroom, on the field of play, in prayer services in our chapel, during a conversation with one of our beloved Basilian Fathers, in Shamrock ID, in OCIT, or through one of our retreats, Catholic Central extends that mission.

“Something incredible is happening on our campus as we unleash the Gospel in ways that speak to our young men and leave them thirsting to know Him better! There are 97 students signed up to attend the January Kairos Retreat, and 17 students have asked to join the Catholic Church through our OCIT program. Many young men are growing more deeply in their relationship with Jesus and each other through the Shamrock ID (Intentional Discipleship) groups,” continued Kevin.

Like Jesus, Himself, said: "Come and See." It might just be a life-changing experience.

The CC Chapel is open and available to students for silent prayer at any time during the school day. Catholic Central also offers daily Mass at 7:20 a.m. for students, parents, and faculty.
