Students Take Part in Final DRIVE Development Day of the Year

Catholic Central students closed out the 2025-2026 school year with the final DRIVE Development Day on Friday, May 6, taking part in a variety of hands-on experiences focused on leadership, communication, career exploration, and personal growth.

One group of approximately 40 students, led by Business Education Department Head Mrs. Amanda Loffler, traveled to The Lingenfelter Collection in Brighton for a special visit hosted by Northwood University.

Students toured one of the world’s most impressive private car collections while learning about career opportunities, college life, and leadership experiences from Northwood students and alumni. The visit gave students a chance to connect their passions and interests with future educational and professional pathways.

Back on campus, another group of students participated in a leadership and communication workshop led by Coach & Speaker Lucie Lynn. Through interactive sessions, students explored practical leadership skills, effective communication techniques, and the importance of mindset and intentionality in everyday life.

The day also featured a unique leadership demonstration from Catholic Central Director of Finance Brittany Mackenzie, who brought her horses to campus to help illustrate the connection between leadership and horsemanship.

Students saw firsthand how trust, nonverbal communication, and calm, confident leadership can influence how horses respond, providing a memorable real-world example of leadership in action.

Our DRIVE Development series will continue next Spring.
