Students Attend Dale Carnegie Workshop on How to Disagree Agreeably

Detroit Catholic Central High School welcomed Kathy Tosoian, MA, LPC, Director of Educational Services and Youth Development with Dale Carnegie Courses offered by Will Enterprises, Inc., to campus on Friday, March 31. Tosoian led a workshop on how to disagree agreeably, providing students with valuable tools to maintain harmony while acknowledging disagreements.

The workshop emphasized the importance of expressing oneself in a professional and agreeable manner, while still remaining true to one's own beliefs. Students were encouraged to gain insight into their own reactions to discord and to practice self-expression. Through the use of practical exercises, students were able to develop skills to learn tolerance of alternate viewpoints while rationally explaining their own.

Detroit Catholic Central High School is committed to providing its students with the tools and resources they need to succeed in all aspects of their lives and looks forward to future opportunities to partner with Dale Carnegie Courses to continue providing exceptional educational experiences for our students.

The Catholic Central DRIVE Development Day series brings professional learning opportunities to students across grade levels to hone their leadership skills and gain real-world experience. Students are encouraged to utilize Friday DRIVE Holidays to invest in their futures by participating in DRIVE Development Days. Opportunities vary each year, ranging from college visits to wealth management skills.
