Catholic Central hosted its 46th Kairos Retreat from January 29 through February 1, 2026, marking it the second-largest group to ever participate in the program. The retreat offered students a powerful opportunity for reflection, faith formation, and meaningful connection with one another.

“Kairos 46 was a grace-filled retreat experience for our young men. The guys put themselves into the experience and let the Spirit take them to graces and blessings that would be transformative,” shared Kevin Walters, Director of Campus Ministry.

“The adult and student speakers were wonderful and helped to engage our students in a manner that encouraged their full participation. The young men who attended the retreat were very receptive to the message and entered into the Spirit of the retreat early on,” he continued.

Several students reflected on their Kairos 46 experience:

Collin Davis ‘26

“I recently had the opportunity to attend the Kairos retreat, and it was honestly one of the most meaningful weekends of my life. Going into it, I didn’t fully know what to expect, but it ended up helping me grow so much in my relationship with God and what it really means to have a personal relationship with Him. One thing that surprised me the most was how not having our phones made such a big difference. Without distractions, it was way easier to be present and have real conversations, and it made me realize how important genuine, face-to-face connection actually is. Being part of a small group where we could open up and be honest with each other was a huge part of the experience, and it’s something that’s already helping me bring what I learned back into my everyday life. The retreat gave me time to reflect on who I am, my future goals, and the kind of man I want to become. Overall, I’m really grateful I chose to go because it pushed me to be more intentional in my faith, my friendships, and the way I live my life.”

“My experience on Kairos 46 was one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. I’ve always been very connected with Jesus Christ, thanks to my family. However, coming to this retreat showed how blessed I really am and how I should not judge others or compare myself with others because you never know what people are really going through. I also felt fully embraced with my relationship with Christ after this retreat. This was by far one of the best experiences I have experienced in my life. I would recommend anyone to go to this no matter their relationship with Christ.”

“Kairos was truly amazing. It made me really realize how truly blessed I am to have the life I have and live the lifestyle I do. I really built a bond with all of my Shamrock brothers and it was just an incredible experience overall. I am so glad I went on it and every student at CC should go in it if they get the chance to. Truly an incredible experience and so transformational.”
