Student Artwork Brightens Library Windows

Students in Mrs. Jennifer Teed's 4th Period Intro to Art class recently added a splash of color to the library with their art movement shoe design projects.

As part of the assignment, students researched an art movement using library resources and worked with Mrs. Kolchuk to learn more about the styles and artists that defined each movement. They then used what they learned to create an original shoe design inspired by their research.

Using Posca markers on clear plastic, students brought their ideas to life with bold colors and creative details. The finished projects are now displayed on the library windows, where sunlight shines through them to create a stained-glass-like effect.

The project gave students the opportunity to combine research and creativity while exploring different periods of art history. Their work now brightens the library and provides a colorful display for students and staff to enjoy.
