Student Art Exhibit Showcases Art Department

The Detroit Catholic Central Annual Art Show showcased artwork from all levels of the art program during Fine Arts Week, ranging from foundation classes, intro to art, intermediate drawing and painting, sculpture and ceramics, and our advanced courses. Visitors enjoyed a wide variety of 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional artwork created by students.

Catholic Central is proud to offer an art program that routinely prepares students who wish to pursue art at the next level. The school celebrates in a particular way two members from the Class of 2023 who will be attending The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) to further hone their artistry.

Catholic Central’s George and Mary Turek Hall of Science is officially open and ready for student and community use. Approximately 1,500 people attended as the school held a dedication on Sunday, August 11, 2024, featuring a blessing, ribbon cutting ceremony, and open house.

CC Parent Donates Soccer Uniforms To Orphanage in Kenya

Julie Webb, parent of Tyler Webb '28, delivered donated soccer gear from Catholic Central's community to an orphanage in Kenya during her recent mission trip. The gifts, which included unused uniforms, socks, shorts, and cleats, brought immense joy to the children!
