Shamrock I.D. Seniors Assist Residents at Rose Senior Living with Technology

On Friday, April 17, 2026, senior students from the Shamrock I.D. student organization visited Rose Senior Living in Novi to assist residents with everyday technology use.

Students helped seniors with basic device tasks such as navigating smartphones and tablets, adjusting settings, and using apps to stay in touch with family members.

Shamrock I.D. (“Intentional Disciples”) is a student organization moderated by Theology Teacher Paul Stuligross ’82. The group focuses on helping students better understand their identity as Catholic Central men through faith, reflection, and service. Members meet every other week in small groups with mentors and attend Mass together every other Tuesday morning.

Paul noted that the motivation for the students is rooted in service rather than obligation. “None of these guys did it for the service hours,” he said. “They did it because they enjoy serving.”

The visit is one of several service experiences the Shamrock I.D. group participates in throughout the year, offering students opportunities to put their faith into practice through direct engagement with the community.
