Robotics Team Introduces Middle School Students to FIRST Robotics

Between competitions, the Catholic Central Robotics team remains active both in the lab and in the community.

Team members continue to make improvements to their current robot while also focusing on outreach efforts. In March, the team brought “Chip,” their 2025 competition robot, to Our Lady of Victory Catholic School and St. William Catholic School to introduce middle school students to FIRST Robotics Competition. During these visits, students had the opportunity to see the robot in action and learn more about robotics and engineering.

The program also continues to host weekly “Test and Tune” sessions, where teams can use a full practice field to work on and improve their robots. These sessions provide time for troubleshooting and preparation ahead of competitions.

Over the weekend of March 28–29, Catholic Central welcomed Team 3641, The Flying Toasters, for a Test and Tune session.

Through both outreach visits and hosted practices, the team continues to support interest in robotics and provide opportunities for teams to prepare for competition.
