Music Department Students Receive Standing Ovation For Christmas Concert

On Monday, December 4, the Music Department held its annual Christmas Concert assembly in the gymnasium for students, their families, and faculty to enjoy. It featured pieces from the concert, string orchestra, symphony, and jazz bands.

“I am incredibly proud of the work that all of the musicians put in for this concert. The amount of improvement that all of the ensembles displayed from the beginning of the year until now gives me a great amount of joy, and to share the Christmas spirit with the student body is special,” stated Band Director, Mr. Logan Bonathan ‘07.

The concert featured a shortened version of the Christmas Concert and Afterglow held the night before on Sunday, December 3, at 6:30 PM in the gymnasium and cafeteria. It lasted approximately one hour and was livestreamed on the school’s YouTube channel by the student organization media club.

When the concert concluded, the music department received a standing ovation from the student body and faculty for their moving performance.
