Catholic Central’s HOSA chapter delivered its best finish ever at the State Leadership Conference in Traverse City, held April 18–19, 2026.

Eight of the Shamrocks’ 27 competitors were recognized as top finishers, highlighting a strong weekend for the program.

Leading the way was Saathvik Koneru ‘27, who earned 1st place in Biomedical Equipment Tech and qualified for the HOSA International Leadership Conference.

Additional individual results included:

• Ishaan Vallaturu ‘28 – 4th place, Clinical Laboratory Science
• Mike Shih ‘26 – 5th place, Dental Terminology
• Rene Salinas Carrillo’26  – 7th place, Extemporaneous Writing – Health Policy

In team competition, Winston Dietz ‘26, Krish Lal ‘26, Jeremiah Furtado ‘26, and Charlie Prince ‘26 placed 8th in the HOSA Bowl.
