Holden Pederson ‘29 Earns Top Honors at University of Michigan German Day

Holden Pedersen ‘29 recently earned top recognition at the University of Michigan’s annual German Day competition, held on April 10.

Competing in the advanced German division, Holden earned first place in reading and also took third place for his German-language video game project.

German Day brings together students from across the state to compete in a range of events centered on German language and culture. Holden’s results placed him among the top performers in his division.

“I love participating in the University of Michigan German Day,” Holden said. “It allows me to celebrate and remember the country—and its language—that I lived in for my childhood.”

Outside the classroom, Holden has also been busy with robotics. He competed at the State Championship this past weekend, where both Catholic Central teams qualified for the world competition.

Congratulations to Holden on a great accomplishment.
