Hockey Wins MHSAA D1 State Championship

Detroit Catholic Central Hockey defeated Brighton 3-0 in the 2023 Michigan High School Athletic Association D1 State Championship Saturday night at USA Hockey Arena before 4,090 fans, marking four consecutive state championship wins for Shamrock Hockey. The program made MHSAA history, being the first team in the 49-year history of the MHSAA tournament to shutout their opponent throughout. The win marks Catholic Central's 95th MHSAA state championship win in school history.
