Detroit Catholic Central Student Activities hosted a December gift drive, supporting C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. Shamrocks collected 365 toys and $3,267 for children in the hospital this Christmas. Catholic Central students average nearly 35,000 hours of community service per school year.
The Construction Association of Michigan (CAM) has named Detroit Catholic Central’s George & Mary Turek Hall of Science as its 2025 Project of the Year. The award was announced during CAM’s 140th Annual Meeting on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace (formerly the Suburban Collection Showplace) in Novi.

Catholic Central’s DRIVE 2026 moved forward on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, generating $663,475 in tuition assistance on day three.
Catholic Central’s 2026 DRIVE continued on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, with $489,535 raised for tuition assistance on Day Two of the campaign.
