George & Mary Turek Hall of Science Recognized as One of Michigan’s Top Construction Projects

Detroit Catholic Central High School is proud to share that the George & Mary Turek Hall of Science has been selected by Construction Association of Michigan (CAM) Magazine as one of the Top 12 Construction Projects of the Year.

The Hall of Science, completed in 2024, reflects CC’s ongoing commitment to providing students with excellent academic facilities. The project team included J.S. Vig Construction (Construction Manager), Integrated Design Solutions (IDS) (Architect), and engineering firms IDS, Zeimet Wozniak and Associates, SDI Structures, and Grissim Metz Andriese.

Each year, CAM’s Editorial Advisory Committee and staff review submissions from across Michigan and select 12 exceptional projects for recognition through its Project Achievement Awards Program. Feature articles on all honorees will appear in the magazine’s highly anticipated October issue. Among these 12, one project will be chosen as the prestigious CAM Project of the Year, announced at CAM’s annual meeting.

Detroit Catholic Central congratulates the entire project team on this well-deserved honor and looks forward to sharing the upcoming feature celebrating the George & Mary Turek Hall of Science.
