Fishing Team Advances to SAF World Championship Semifinals
Members of the Catholic Central Fishing Team, Andrew Ryner '28 and his partner from Everest Collegiate, Charlie Schmitt, delivered a strong performance at the Student Angler Federation (SAF) World Championship on Lake Cumberland.
Competing against more than 400 boats from across the country, Schmitt and Ryner advanced to the semifinal round on day three of the tournament. The duo weighed in 12.12 pounds, earning a 45th-place finish in one of the nation's premier high school fishing competitions.
Congratulations to Charlie and Andrew on an outstanding showing and for representing the Catholic Central Fishing Team on the national stage.
