Faculty Spotlight: Desi Todd, Administrative Assistant, Alumni/Advancement

For Desi Todd, being part of the Catholic Central community has given her the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, witness the impact of the school's work and play a small part in CC's history.

Todd has served as an Administrative Assistant in the Alumni/Advancement Office for five years. One of the things she enjoys most about her role is the opportunity to connect with people she may not have otherwise met.

“A few of my favorite reasons for being connected to the CC community are the meaningful relationships you build with people you may have never expected to meet and the opportunity to see the impact of the work we do,” Todd said.

Her connection to Catholic Central is also personal. Todd's younger brother attended and graduated from CC, and she has seen firsthand how his experience at the school helped shape his future.

“I truly believe the opportunities he received here helped him become the successful young man he is today,” she said. “He went on to graduate from college and build a great career, and it makes me proud to know that CC was a part of his journey.”

Todd also enjoys seeing the goals set by the Advancement team come to life.

“I love hearing the goals our team sets for the year and then watching those goals become a reality,” she said. “Being able to witness the hard work, dedication and teamwork that go into achieving those goals is truly amazing.”

One moment that stands out to Todd was the beam signing for the STEM Building. While most people will never see the beam, those who signed it know they are officially part of Catholic Central's history.

“Watching the construction progress from start to finish was exciting, and knowing that I had a small part in that history made the experience even more special,” she said.

Another memorable moment came when students celebrated reaching the $1 million mark for the DRIVE Tuition Assistance Raffle.

“Seeing their enthusiasm and knowing that the funds raised would help support students and their educational journeys was incredibly rewarding,” Todd said.

For Todd, those moments capture what she values most about her work at Catholic Central: the people, the teamwork and the opportunity to see how the efforts of the Advancement team directly impact students and the CC community.
