Since joining Catholic Central in December 2025, Aimee Carroll has been working to support one of the school's greatest strengths - our people. 

As Head of Human Resources, she helps recruit faculty and staff, supports employee development, and works alongside school leadership to ensure Catholic Central continues to attract and retain outstanding professionals who advance our mission.

We recently sat down with Aimee to learn more about her role, her connection to Catholic Central, and what inspires her work each day. 

Q: Can you tell us a little about your role at Catholic Central? What does a typical day look like as our Head of Human Resources?

Aimee: One of the things I enjoy most about this role is that there really isn't a "typical" day. My responsibility is to ensure Catholic Central has the people, leadership, and organizational foundation necessary to support our mission.

That can mean working with leaders on organizational planning, recruiting exceptional faculty and staff, developing our performance management process, supporting employee relations, or helping shape the long-term people strategy for the school. Every day is different, but everything ultimately comes back to creating an environment where our employees can do their best work in service of our students

Q: When did you join Catholic Central, and what originally attracted you to the school?

Aimee: I joined Catholic Central in December 2025.

My husband and brother-in-law are both Catholic Central graduates, and my two sons will attend Catholic Central as well, so I already had a strong connection to the school.

What attracted me was the opportunity to become part of an institution with such a rich history, outstanding academic tradition, and deep Catholic identity. Professionally, I was excited by the opportunity to build and modernize the Human Resources function while contributing to a school that has impacted generations of young men

Q: Did you have any connection to Catholic Central before joining the staff?

Aimee: Yes. Through my family, Catholic Central has been part of our lives for many years. My husband and brother-in-law are alumni, and knowing that my sons would one day become Shamrocks made joining the Catholic Central community even more meaningful.

Q: Can you share a little about your professional background and what prepared you for your current role?

Aimee: I've worked in Human Resources for more than 20 years in both the public and private sectors, leading teams across talent management, organizational development, leadership development, and strategic HR.

Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to build and transform HR functions, helping organizations strengthen their leadership, culture, and employee experience. Most recently, I led Global Talent Management for Domino's, where I focused on leadership development, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement for a global workforce.

While the industries are very different, building strong organizations always begins with investing in people.

Q: Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies, interests, or ways you like to spend your free time?

Aimee: Most of my free time revolves around my family. With three children, there's almost always a sporting event, school activity, or volunteer opportunity on the calendar.

When I do have time for myself, I enjoy skiing, hiking, and yoga. I also have a fun hobby that surprises most people: I play the Pokémon Trading Card Game competitively.

Q: What would you like the Catholic Central community to know about you that they may not already know?

Aimee: I hope people know that I genuinely care about this community.

I've been fortunate to have a rewarding career, but being able to combine my profession with my faith at Catholic Central is something I don't take for granted. Having the opportunity to help support the faculty and staff who are shaping the lives of our students is incredibly meaningful to me, and I consider it both a privilege and a responsibility. For me, Human Resources has always been about people. At Catholic Central, it's about helping create an environment where exceptional faculty and staff can thrive so they can have an even greater impact on the young men we serve. That's what makes this role so meaningful to me.
