On Monday, November 24, 2025, Librarian and Media Center Department Chair Kelly Kolchuk hosted all junior English classes in the Learning Commons for the second part of their Media Literacy Unit.

This session focused on how confirmation bias, echo chambers, algorithms, and filter bubbles can influence and limit the information people encounter online.

Students completed an assignment analyzing how bias appears in various news articles and were encouraged to reflect on their own biases and how those perspectives shape the news they engage with.
