Dominic Recchione ’26 Featured in DBusiness Magazine for Video Production Work

Dominic Recchione ’26 was recently featured in DBusiness Magazine for his growing interest in video production and the business he has built around it.

A native of South Lyon and a pitcher for the Shamrocks baseball team, Recchione began creating videos in 2019, recording his Fortnite gameplay and posting it on YouTube.

Over time, his interest shifted to sports videography. In 2024, he produced a highlight video for the Catholic Central football team and shared it with Defensive Coordinator and Social Studies Teacher Mike Mach ’03. Mach encouraged him to show the video to Athletic Director Aaron Babicz ’93, who then invited Recchione to begin filming school sporting events.

Since then, Recchione has created videos for several Catholic Central teams under his brand name, DREffects, and has expanded to work with local businesses including Born in Detroit in Farmington Hills, High Performance Training in Wixom, and Legacy Center Sports Complex in Brighton. He has also produced content for former University of Michigan football players preparing for the NFL Draft.

Recchione is still considering his college options but hopes to continue helping high school athletes build an online presence while pursuing a future in sports media.
