Dominic Recchione ‛26 Earns Two Emmy Nominations for Media Production Work

Dominic Recchione ‛26 has been nominated for two prestigious Student Production Awards by the Michigan Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, recognizing his exceptional work in media production.

Recchione received nominations in the Producer category for two projects: Detroit Catholic Central State Championship Recap and Detroit Catholic Central State Championship Hype Video. Both highlight the excellence and tradition of Catholic Central athletics while demonstrating Dominic’s creativity, storytelling skills, and technical ability behind the camera.

The Student Production Awards honor outstanding high school and college students across Michigan who show innovation and excellence in television and media production. This year’s nominees were chosen from a highly competitive pool, making Recchione’s recognition a significant achievement.

The winners will be announced at the Student Production Awards Ceremony on April 26 at Michigan State University, where nominees from the region will be celebrated for their work and contributions to the future of the industry.

“I’m really grateful for the opportunities I’ve had at Catholic Central,” Recchione said. “Being nominated for two Emmys is an honor, but it really reflects the people who’ve supported me and pushed me to grow. I’m focused on telling meaningful stories and challenging myself with every project. #GoRocks.”
