DECA Proves Successful at State Career Development Conference

Detroit Catholic Central DECA  attended the DECA state conference in Detroit from March 9-11 , competing in numerous events at the State Career Development Conference. The CC DECA chapter earned three chapter awards including the 2023 "Gimmie 5" award recognizing our continued commitment to increase our student membership.

The chapter also achieved THRIVE status, which recognizes outstanding chapter activities within the school involving the engagement of alumni and community. Finally, the chapter received the MDA award for its effort in the MDA Fundraising Challenge for raising over $5000.

CC DECA members earned 27 individual awards, including 13 state finalists and four overall state champions. Aidan Grumm '23, Arnie Pulpa '23, Pablo Razny '23, and Mark Ling '23 all earned the highest award of state champion. In total, 14 members qualified to attend the International Career Development Conference in Orlando, FL next month.

Evan Kinter ‘23 Earns Eagle Rank

Evan Kinter ‘23 achieved a major milestone recently by earning the distinguished Eagle Scout rank in the Boy Scouts of America. His accomplishment shows determination and dedication and  encompasses leadership skills, service to the community, and skill-building activities. Through this process, Evan has gained essential life skills needed to become successful as he goes through life.
