Catholic Central High School has been named a College Bound Michigan Champion Site for the 2024-2025 school year by the Michigan College Access Network (MCAN).
The recognition honors the commitment of the counseling team to get seniors to apply to college early in the school year, well ahead of regular decision day for most colleges.
MCAN noted that under the leadership of College & Career Resource Counselor Jennifer Sprys-Tellner, at least 80 percent of seniors applied to at least one college during October 2024.
“This impact would not have been possible without your leadership, the dedication of your staff, and the exceptional efforts of Jennifer Sprys-Tellner, who has gone above and beyond to support students on their college journey,” MCAN stated in their recognition letter.
College Bound Michigan is a statewide initiative that guides students through key college planning milestones, including Michigan College Month (college applications), the College Cash Campaign (FAFSA completion), and Decision Day (college commitment).
"Our CC Counseling team is committed to building and supporting a college-going culture and helping our students find the best fit for their postsecondary journey," shared Jennifer Sprys-Tellner.
Congratulations to Jennifer Sprys-Tellner and the entire CC Counseling team for this well-earned honor!
