  • How has your time at Catholic Central impacted you? The Catholic Central experience is hard to put into words. The legacy of high achievement both in the classroom and on the field pushed me to be both the best student and athlete I could be. This unique combination allowed me to achieve high-reaching academic goals and compete in sports at the varsity level, which was only possible with the support and tradition of Catholic Central. Because of the tremendous guidance that the faculty and staff provide, I have ended my time in high school a more scholarly and faithful man.

  • How has your time at Catholic Central impacted you? Catholic Central has shaped me into the man I am today. Its wide variety of courses and clubs allowed me to explore what I am passionate about and who I want to be. The rigorous curriculum constantly pushed me to work harder and build a better work ethic. Ultimately, CC's sense of community has had the most significant impact on me. There is so much spirit permeating every aspect of the school, and this allowed me to form friendships—both with students and faculty—that I know will last a lifetime. CC's brotherhood truly is unmatched.
  • What is your favorite memory of your time at Catholic Central? It was raining for most of our marching band performances our freshman year. There had previously been seniors in the band who graduated after all four years without ever knowing we had raincoats, yet here we were, having barely touched our actual marching uniforms. We were at EMU's stadium one day and the weather was absolutely horrendous: it was pouring rain and freezing cold. There was basically no one but the two football teams, our band, and a few parents. Despite the harsh weather, our band continued playing and cheering. Just for fun, the upperclassmen started playing Sleigh Ride—a long-standing Christmas concert tradition. While at the time I certainly wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, the memory sticks out to me as highlighting our community's ability to persevere through anything.

CC has fostered an environment that is inclusive, supportive and most importantly, focused on helping students become their best person. I barely recognize the young boy who first walked through the doors of a new school four years ago. Now, I leave with gratitude for the legacy of excellence, enduring friendships and the many moments that will be with me for the rest of my life.
  • What is your favorite memory of your time at Catholic Central? My favorite thing about Catholic Central are DRIVE assemblies. The friendly competition of DRIVE creates an atmosphere in the school that cannot be found elsewhere. DRIVE assemblies are the culmination of this competition. The abundant energy and excitement in the gymnasium can be felt by anyone who walks in the door. The activities from challenges to prize drawings to the daily cash total come together with the students’ enthusiasm and spirit to create an unforgettable experience. My favorite memory from DRIVE is when Fr. Fulton announced the totals from last year. All the classes rushed the gym floor in celebration of breaking our fundraising record. It was incredible not only to break the record but to know that the money we raised will be able to support future generations of Shamrocks.
