CC Students To Host Second Annual Charity Event Benefiting Toys For Tots

For the second year in a row, Catholic Central High School students David Kibbey, Chase Ziegler, and Drew Lehnert - along with Northville High School student Bennett DiMeo - are hosting a charity event benefiting Toys For Tots. The event will be held at The Lingenfelter Collection, located at 7819 Lochlin Drive, Brighton, Michigan, from 12 pm until 3 pm on Saturday, December 2, 2023.

David, Chase, and Drew are the founders of Northville Concours d’Elegance, the first youth-focused concours - or fancy car show - in the nation, consisting of over 40 youth judges. The team spent months creating a judging program and developing a unique experience for high school students unlike any other in the Concours community.

“Our mission is to assemble the finest automobiles for the next generation of enthusiasts. We do this through events and special experiences. The team hosts three regular events throughout the year: Holiday Event in the winter, Northville Concours d’Elegance in the summer, and the Northville Concours d’Elegance Founders Dinner in the spring. Our Concours is the crown jewel. We feature 85 vehicles, 50 young judges, and over 1,000 guests each in Downtown Northville,” David stated.

The event will feature The Lingenfelter Collection, a private collection of over 180 exotic cars belonging to Ken and Kristen Lingenfelter. It consists of 40% corvettes, 30% muscle cars, and 30% exotic cars. Although privately owned, the Lingenfelters open their collection to the public for viewing several times per year and all proceeds go to charity.

To enter the event, visitors are asked to bring an unwrapped toy or provide a cash donation to Toys For Tots. Last year, the event raised over 4,200 toys for children in need, and the team hopes to continue the tradition. Refreshments will be provided while guests browse the collectible car collection and representatives will be available to answer questions.
