The CC Shambots had an incredible season, marked by key achievements and exciting milestones. From district events to the FIRST World Championship, the Shambots have grown both as a team and as individuals.
The team kicked off their season at Kettering #2, being selected as part of the 4th semi-finalist alliance alongside the Titanium Tigers and Bentley Robo-Raptors. It was a solid start that set the tone for a fantastic year. At Livonia, CC Shambots made it to the finals, finishing 2nd and securing the Innovation in Control Award. Meanwhile, the CC Shambytes finished 5th overall as the captain of the #5 alliance. Though they missed qualifying for States, their season was one to be proud of.
At the Michigan State Championship, the Shambots secured an 8th place alliance captain spot. After battling through elimination rounds, the team earned their spot at the FIRST World Championship in Houston for the third year in a row. They placed 12th out of 75 teams in their division with a 6-4 record, their highest-ever placement at Worlds. Although they weren’t selected for an alliance, the team’s performance was a testament to their growth and dedication.
“We’re excited to keep building on this season, with plans to participate in the Kettering Kickoff and volunteer at the Goonettes All-Girls event this fall. We're also excited to host our first Cars and Coffee event in our new space,” stated Lead Business Mentor and Robotics parent, Natalie Gluth.
The Robotics team thanks their mentors, parents, sponsors, and volunteers who made this season possible.
