CC Kicks Off 2025 DRIVE Development Days with SIM Racing

The 2025 DRIVE Development Days series officially launched at Catholic Central on Friday, February 28, 2025, with a SIM Racing/Manufacturing event.

Over 35 students had the opportunity to visit three racing-related facilities in Wixom:

  • PKT Precision Karting Technologies: Students observed demonstrations of car and kart racing parts manufacturing, including advanced CNC machining processes.
  • RM Motorsports: The group got an up-close look at race car restoration and track support services, learning about the intricacies of restoring high-performance vehicles.
  • WOT Shop: Students explored additional race car restoration and track support offerings, seeing firsthand how cars are maintained and repaired.

All three locations were conveniently located within half a mile of each other and only eight minutes from the school. At each stop, students learned about the world of motorsports, viewing a wide range of cars and karts in various stages of assembly and repair.

RM and WOT Shop showcased their extensive restoration capabilities, including fabrication, painting, and mechanical and electrical repairs. Meanwhile, PKT highlighted its expertise in part design, manufacturing, and assembly, with a special focus on CNC machining for kart racing parts.
