Catholic Central Welcomes 75+ Colleges at Annual College Fair Night

On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, Catholic Central High School welcomed students and families to its annual College Fair Night, held from 6–8 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium. The event brought together more than 75 institutions, including two- and four-year colleges, universities, trade schools, and military opportunities.

Students from 21 different schools across the area attended, including Mercy, Novi, and Plymouth High Schools, making it a valuable community event.

“College fairs provide students with a great opportunity to make connections with college representatives, discover new schools, and learn more about familiar schools—all in one place,” said Counselor Jennifer Sprys-Tellner. “Students are able to ask specific questions, gather information efficiently, and even demonstrate their interest to schools. It’s also a chance to practice important soft skills as they talk about their postsecondary plans.”

Sprys-Tellner noted that many students discover “hidden gems” at the fair, helping them build a list of schools that may be a strong fit academically, socially, and financially. She added, “I was very pleased with the size of the fair and the attendance. The representatives shared that our students asked excellent questions and were a pleasure to interact with. I am very pleased with how everything turned out!”

Representatives came from a wide range of schools and programs, including the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, U.S. Army, U.S. Naval Academy, Air Force, Central Michigan University, Western Michigan University, Bowling Green State University, Oakland University, Hope College, Lawrence Technological University, Xavier University, and many more.

Students with questions about college are encouraged to contact the Counseling Department for more information.
