Catholic Central’s class of 2024 has officially graduated. Seniors were celebrated this weekend with a Baccalaureate Mass held on Saturday, May 18, for the graduating class and their families, followed by a graduation ceremony at Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor on Sunday, May 19.
Mass began with a heartfelt video from the faculty and staff, who wished seniors good luck on their journey and reminded them that Catholic Central will always be their home. During Mass, seniors and their families prayed together and reflected on their time at Catholic Central. The Mass was led by Principal Father Patrick Fulton, CSB, and Basilian Scholastic Bishoy Dawood, CSB gave a reflection.
After Mass, attendees walked out to the baseball stadium where Father Fulton blessed a memorial bench donated in honor of Stephen Sylvester ’24, who passed away in 2021, with Sylvester’s family and friends in attendance.
The senior sendoff continued Sunday with a graduation ceremony held at Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, where students walked across the stage and collected their diplomas from Father Fulton and a rosary blessed by Father Dennis Kauffman, CSB from President Ed Turek ’85.
Catholic Central’s faculty and staff wishes the absolute best for the graduating class of 2024 and encourages students to become active alumni members by attending events and visiting often.
