NOVI, MI - APRIL 4, 2024 - Catholic Central High School has welcomed Brian “LB” Booker as the newest member of the Admissions Office.
LB hails from Saginaw and attended Heritage High School. He spent his college years at Saginaw Valley State University, where he played basketball and studied Communications with a minor in Athletic Coaching.
Booker officially started in the Admissions Office on March 25, 2024, but first joined the CC family earlier this year as an assistant coach in the basketball program. He’s most excited about building the community and establishing relationships at Catholic Central.
“Within the community, many people have already reached out to say congratulations. It’s a good place to build a lot of strong relationships,” Booker stated.
“LB has an infectious energy, and I think families are really going to connect with him as they explore Catholic Central,” said Jake Marmul ’07, Director of Admissions and Public Relations. “One of the nice things he brings to the Admissions Office is an outside perspective on what is important for kids and families from a public school background. He's jumped in with both feet and is learning more about this place every day.”
In Booker, students will have a steady, bright, positive influence and role model. He wants students to know that they can come to him for help anytime.
“I’m very honest and I’ll help out as much as I can. My age is a positive thing. I just finished life as a collegiate student-athlete, so I know what students are going through and how to help them reach their goals.”
In the future, Booker is looking forward to attending wrestling matches and Boys’ Bowl weekend. In his role in the Admissions Office, he will be a key resource for potential students on their Shadow Days and coordinate the Junior Shamrock program, which connects young men in grades K-8 to various activities at Catholic Central. He will also continue to serve as an assistant coach in the basketball program in addition to his admissions role.
In his free time, LB is proud of the relationship he has with his parents and younger brother. He practices Catholicism and enjoys spending time with his family, especially visiting his grandma in Saginaw every week.
