Catholic Central Hosts Annual Fall Blood Drive in Partnership with Versiti

Catholic Central High School hosted its annual fall blood drive on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in the Auxiliary Gym, continuing a long-standing tradition of service and community impact.

Father Patrick Fulton, CSB, was the first to donate blood, something he’s made a personal commitment to each year. “Giving blood is very important to me,” Fr. Fulton shared. His dedication stems from his father’s service as a paramedic and member of the Canadian Air Force, inspiring him to give back in a meaningful way.

The blood drive, organized in partnership with the Versiti Blood Center of Michigan, brought together students, faculty, and staff in support of a life-saving cause. Donations collected by Versiti stay within the state, with many going directly to local hospitals.

Catholic Central holds two blood drives each year — one per semester — with support from the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) club and Director of Student Activities, Mike Carrier ’06. These events not only save lives but also encourage students to become lifelong donors and leaders in service.
