Catholic Central Hosts Annual Clubs Fair

Detroit Catholic Central held its annual Clubs Fair today, Wednesday, September 10, 2025, giving students the chance to learn about the many extracurricular opportunities available beyond the classroom.

Nearly 90% of Catholic Central students take part in at least one activity, and graduates often point to their involvement in clubs, athletics, and student leadership as an important part of their overall experience.

CC currently offers more than 35 clubs and organizations, with options ranging from academic groups such as Debate & Forensics, Chemistry Club, and Model United Nations to interest-based activities like Fishing Club, Pickleball Club, Outdoor Club, and Ping Pong. Students can also participate in cultural groups including French Club, Latin Club, MESA (Middle Eastern Student Association), and B.A.S.E. (Black Awareness Society for Education).

Student leadership opportunities remain strong, with almost 100 students serving through Student Council, Class Officers, and Student Activities. Intramural sports also continue to be popular, drawing more than 250 participants annually in basketball, soccer, golf, and flag football.

With over 50 total options, including athletics, intramurals, clubs, and student government, Catholic Central offers students a variety of ways to get involved, meet others, and grow through shared experiences.
