Alumni Share Experiences in Military, Engineering

Alumni guest speakers Private 1st Class Maxwell Bartol ‘18 and Walbridge Group Vice President Mr. John Linenberg '89, PE, LEED AP BD+C met with students interested in the Army and engineering, respectively.

Linenberg shared with students in Mrs. Rebecca Mulrooney’s engineering class on his experience at one of the top 50 construction firms in the United States, a career that has taken him across the globe with work spanning 10 countries.

Bartol, who enlisted in the Army April 1, met with students before taking up his new station in Germany later this week. Bartol visited Catholic Central as part of College and Career Resources Counselor Mrs. Jennifer Sprys-Tellner’s programming, providing students opportunities to explore post-graduation opportunities. Each year, Catholic Central typically sees students pursue paths in the military. Last year, Congresswoman Haley Stevens nominated five Catholic Central students to service academies.

Linenberg is the father to two Shamrocks: Evan Linenberg ‘19 and Nathan Linenberg ‘21. Bartol is the brother of recent Catholic Central graduate Jack Bartol ‘22.
