Catholic Central High School is proud to celebrate Aiden Gottschalk ’22, whose creative talents are earning national recognition.

Currently a senior at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Aiden recently received top honors at the Southeast Emmy Student Production Awards, winning the Best Writer award for the student-produced sitcom Lodged!.

SCAD students had an impressive showing at this year’s awards, earning 31 nominations and taking home 11 of the 23 honors presented. Notably, SCAD swept all nominees in eight categories. 

Aiden’s award-winning work, Lodged!, is a multi-camera sitcom filmed live on a university soundstage in front of a studio audience at SCAD’s Savannah campus. The production is a large-scale collaborative effort, bringing together more than 100 students across multiple disciplines, including acting, film and television, production design, dramatic writing, and sound design. Aiden, a film and television major, played a key role in shaping the show’s writing, earning recognition for his standout contribution.

With Lodged! Episode 3 currently in production, Aiden continues to build on his already impressive body of work as he prepares to graduate.
