Advanced Manufacturing Students Present 3D-Printed Projects

Students in Joe Lemieux’s Advanced Manufacturing Additive class presented their final 3D-printed term projects on Tuesday, April 27, 2026, during second hour in the Engineering Lab.

The presentations featured three student teams, each highlighting a complex engineering concept brought to life through additive manufacturing.

Projects included a detailed turbofan jet engine cutaway, a Wankel rotary engine, and a Torsen differential. Each model demonstrated not only technical precision, but also a strong understanding of mechanical systems and design.

During the presentation, students explained their design process, challenges, and what they learned throughout the project, marking the conclusion of the class.
