On Saturday, April 18, 2026, the varsity academic team competed in the NAQT Michigan Class A State Championship. The team and nationally-ranked #32 Okemos both finished the day with a 9-1 record. 

In the finals, the team of co-captains Christian Curtis '26 and Philip Calabrese '26, Joseph Harrison '26, and juniors Brady Shih '27, Saathvik Koneru '27, and Colin Maxworthy '27 defeated Okemos 395-285. This marks the program's 15th consecutive Michigan State Championship.

Joe Harrison and Christian Curtis were named 2nd team All-State, and Philip Calabrese was named All-State Honorable Mention.

On the year, the team’s overall record is 128-9 with an in-state record of 62-2, and they have won 11 tournaments in total. 

Two of our teams qualified to compete in Atlanta on Memorial Day weekend for the NAQT High School National Championship, and three of our teams qualified to compete in June in Chicago for the PACE National Scholastic Championship.
