7 CC Students Recognized at the Science and Engineering Fair of Metro Detroit

On March 20, 2024, seven Honors Chemistry students participated in the Science and Engineering Fair of Metro Detroit, competing against almost 600 high school students in the area. All seven students were recognized with various awards.

By placing first, James also qualified to compete in the Michigan Science and Engineering Fair on April 6, where he placed third.   

“I'm proud of all of the students who competed in the Science and Engineering Fair of Metro Detroit this year. For James to have placed so high at both the metro and especially the state level is an incredible achievement,” stated Caitlin O’Connell, Science Department Chair.

Approximately 31 students attended Catholic Central's 42nd Kairos Retreat, held from Thursday, October 24 to Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the Colombiere Conference and Retreat Center in Clarkston, Michigan. Over 70 students are already signed up for January’s retreat.
