39 Catholic Central Students Earn Global Seal of Biliteracy

Catholic Central High School is proud to recognize 39 AP Spanish students who have earned the Global Seal of Biliteracy, a prestigious international award that certifies proficiency in two or more languages.

This honor is granted to students who achieve a qualifying score on the AP Spanish exam, demonstrating an advanced level of bilingual communication. Recipients will receive a certificate and an official seal that can be placed on their diploma.

Earning the Global Seal of Biliteracy is more than a mark of academic excellence—it is a credential that strengthens college applications, scholarship opportunities, study abroad programs, and future career prospects.

Spanish teacher Jennifer Manriquez expressed her pride in this year’s recipients, noting both the difficulty of the exam and the dedication of her students:

“I always tell my AP guys that the test score does not define their language ability, as they have advanced so much in their ability to communicate in Spanish after completing the AP course. Still, this is certainly a great honor and a wonderful perk for those who passed. I am very proud of this group!”
