25th Annual Shamrock Shuffle Breaks Record, Raises $11,902 for Make A Wish Foundation of Michigan

Detroit Catholic Central's 25th annual Shamrock Shuffle, a charitable run by faculty and students, raised a record-breaking total of $11,902 for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan

This year's fundraiser brings the school's overall total since the race's 1988 inception to $198,389.13. Ahead of the fundraiser, students in DECA visited homerooms to explain and promote the event. Make-A-Wish Michigan grants about one wish per day for a child facing a life-threatening medical condition.

A 1.5 mile walk/run, the Shamrock Shuffle has become a staple of Boys' Bowl Weekend, taking place Friday morning ahead of the Boys' Bowl Assembly. Students, faculty, and staff cheer on students choosing to race.
