Myles Amine '15 wins Bronze Medal at Tokyo Olympics

On August 5, 2021, Myles Amine '15 defeated India's Deepak Punia to secure the Bronze medal for San Marino at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. 

Myles graduated from Catholic Central in 2015 and went on to wrestle for the University of Michigan. While there he secured three third-place finishes at the NCAA Championships. He is the first ever wrestler from San Marino, one of the two flag-bearers at the opening ceremony, and third athlete of any kind to take home a medal for the country. 

Myles qualified for the Olympics by placing fifth at the last world championships in 2019.
