Shamrock Artists Show Off Their Work!

Each year, the Art Department at Catholic Central hosts an Art Fair in the schools halls promoting our student artists and their work throughout the year. This year, the Art Fair boasts 122 works on display across 58 student artists.

The art on display explores many different mediums from pottery to marker and beyond.

“What stands out this year compared to shows of the past is the large amount of copic marker drawings on a smaller scale,” Art Department Chair, Andy Dent says, “a great deal of our time this academic year has been virtual or hybrid and the students have had limited access to the art studio and paint.”

As with everything else this year, the students have embraced change and turned challenge into opportunity. There might not be as many traditional oil or watercolor paintings as in years past, but the quality of the pieces remains stunning.
