On Tuesday, September 29, 2020, Catholic Central celebrated an all-school Mass during Boys’ Bowl spirit week. In order to maintain a socially-distanced environment indoors for all students, the Mass was celebrated in the CC Chapel and live streamed to homeroom classes and students at home.
Eucharistic Ministers delivered Communion to each homeroom and at-home participants joined in a prayer of Spiritual Communion.
Mass was celebrated by Fr. John Wheeler, CSB ’57 with Frs. Fulton, Kauffman, Moslosky, and Riegel, CSB concelebrating.
This is the second time Catholic Central has found a way to adopt the setup for an all-school Mass under social distancing restrictions. The community also celebrated two Masses outdoors in Fr. Elmer Stadium in September.
“Teach Me Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge” is the motto of the Basilian Fathers and the sacred mission of Catholic Central High School. For ninety years, the graduates of Catholic Central have made a positive impact locally, nationally, and around the world.
