Bishop Michael Byrnes '76 visits CC

Bishop Michael Byrnes '76 stopped by Catholic Central today. During this visit, he spoke of what helped bring him to Catholic Central.

Bishop Byrnes' remembers hearing the CC Glee Club perform at an Open House Night and it resonated with him; helping make his decision to attend CC. Like many alumni, he remembers Fr. Ned Donoher, C.S.B. teaching us to carry a rosary in our pockets and pray it. Bishop Byrnes also served as a football team captain his senior year.

Bishop Byrnes is Bishop of Guam. He has been there 4 years. Prior to that he served the Archdiocese of Detroit as an Auxiliary Archbishop.
“Teach Me Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge” is the motto of the Basilian Fathers and the sacred mission of Catholic Central High School. For ninety years, the graduates of Catholic Central have made a positive impact locally, nationally, and around the world.
