2020 Reginald L. Tucker Scholarship

Shawn Mather, Director of Guidance
It is with great pleasure that I announce and congratulate the recipients of the Reginald L. Tucker Scholarship which is awarded annually at the Academic Awards Banquet in memory of Reginald L. Tucker, Catholic Central Class of 1973. The Reginald L. Tucker Scholarship is awarded to a senior entering college who best demonstrates Reggie’s qualities of scholarship, leadership, and spirit. After graduating from Catholic Central, Reggie earned his B.A. degree at Yale University in 1977 and his J.D. degree at the University of Michigan in 1980. At the time of his death in 1984, Reggie was practicing law in Chicago. He distinguished himself as a student and a lawyer, and touched many lives with his vibrant personality.
For the first time in the history of this scholarship, the decision, determined by the Board of Trustees of the Reginald L. Tucker Scholarship, has ended in a tie between two applicants! The recipients of this year’s Reginald L. Tucker Scholarship are LOGAN GRAY and KODY TAKADA!!

CONGRATULATIONS to these two outstanding scholars!!
“Teach Me Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge” is the motto of the Basilian Fathers and the sacred mission of Catholic Central High School. For ninety years, the graduates of Catholic Central have made a positive impact locally, nationally, and around the world.
