Christopher Okoye '14 named to CHSL 2020 Hall of Fame

Christopher Okoye came to Detroit Catholic Central with dreams of playing QB for the Shamrocks football team. The 6’6” 300+ pound 2014 graduate from Westland quickly realized he might be in line for a position change.

Fast forward to 2020 and Chris finds himself being inducted into the CHSL Hall of Fame after an All-American career at Ferris State University as a defensive tackle and a short stint with the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals.

We are very proud of your accomplishments and the way you represent our Detroit Catholic Central family.
“Teach Me Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge” is the motto of the Basilian Fathers and the sacred mission of Catholic Central High School. For ninety years, the graduates of Catholic Central have made a positive impact locally, nationally, and around the world.
