College Board Recognizes 53 Catholic Central 2019 AP Scholars

The College Board recognized 53 Catholic Central Students as Advanced Placement Scholars for the 2019 test year. 33 members of the Class of 2019 and 20 members of the Class of 2020 achieved the required scores.

As a part of the curriculum structure at Catholic Central, any student with a 3.6 GPA and teacher recommendation is able to take an AP course. Every student in an AP course takes part in the national AP test at the end of the school year. The test is used to gauge whether or not college credits will be awarded, which is deteremined by individual colleges based on their standards. Traditionally, a score of 3 or higher will be accepted by most schools as college credit.

Congratulations to these Shamrock scholars!
